This stuff is utter garbage, and I speak as a Libertines and BAby Shambles fan. Don't know what these sessions are supposed to prove, but listening to some of this shite, I'm not surprised Carl Barat walked out during the proceedings. Presumably this stuff is strictly for the kind of fan whose head is so far up his arse he doesn't know better.

Easy on the expletives my friend. All you have said can be summarized thus: I don't like the B sessions. Which is okay, but say it nice or funny, and don't insult my guests with crass suggestions.

The reason why this stuff is relevant is that it can, among other things, add to your understanding of the history of a band. And with everything in life, some would like it and some would not. It may not be as clinically precise as Up the Bracket, but there are songs here that shine a light on the state of mind of the Boys in the band. Anyway, next time you return here, be nice.

i havn't heard all of the songs in the babyshambles session yet to critique whether they are or not better than the albums but the writing is brilliant just on it's own.
i was just going to compliment on this great blog when i saw that you're from Edmonton. i'm from Calgary myself. It's fairly rare to find "indie" music fans in Alberta, and even more so a blogger, considering most bands don't ever play here. so even more props to you.

Thanks anonymous. The indie music presence in Alberta is getting better, you just have to suscribe to Sonic FM or visit the small clubs to indulge. Many of the indie bands play small gigs-I only just saw Jason Collett and Paso Mino at the Power Plant a few days ago. And Metric will be in Edmonton in two days. BSS played at Reds a while ago and the Constantines are around sometime soon. Not as much as we like, but no so bad either. Howz the weather in Calgary? Again, thanks for stopping by.
