The Jam! 3 Live Sets! Now, That's Entertainment!
A brief detour this morning to examine a bloody good find...three live sets from the seminal English lads, The Jam. I find it hard to believe that anyone on earth has not heard of Weller, Bruce & Rick, but these things happen, that's why we have wikipedia (if you have money, wiki is one internet project you should donate to). Thanks for generously posting the live Jam mp3s. You rule!
Wow, you do rule. I'm downloading all of these...
I still haven't forgiven Paul Weller for breaking up the band! Bruce and Rick deserved better...great tracks...thanks!
the 82 show sounds the best, adequately reflects the power of the modfather. mille grazie.
Top post dude. I have these 3 shows but on cassettes I bought years ago and haven't been able to get them onto my MP3 or my PC, so cheers for that...if you got anymore Jam/Weller sets, I'd be a happy bunny if you could post them.
Oh and to "side3"..if you understood the man and his work you wouldn't have said what you did. he'd outgrown The Jam and was dissolusioned with the fan base, the bulk of whom wanted him to keep belting out 3 minute Oi pop tunes. He wanted to explore a more soulful side, make use of horns and brass etc and that's why he left. And he's went from strength to strength IMHO. He woudn't be the performer he is today if he hadn't split The Jam

Brilliant!
is the 82 show from the Dutch radio broadcast? excellent post...
Would love it if you could re-post these 3 shows. The Jam were the best!
