Linda Ronstadt Does Torch: The Keeping Out Of Mischief Sessions 1981.

From my Singaporean friends comes this really interesting lost album from femme superb Linda Ronstadt. Titled Keeping Out Of Mischief, the never released album was recorded in New York sometime in 1981. On the album, Linda explores the torch song/jazz standard genre. However, she decided she was not ready to be a torch singer and abandoned the album to record Get Closer. Different versions of all the songs, except for "Keeping Out Of Mischief Now" (which is still unreleased), appear in later torch releases by Linda, including 1983’s What’s New, 1984’s Lush Life, and 2004’s Hummin’ To Myself.
