The Shins: Live, Paramount Theatre, Seattle, WA., Feb 20, 2007.

Live music has to count as one of my favorite musical genres (if it is a genre at all), or why else would I write a blog about live music. Perhaps it's the scourge of living in a town where the bands I want to see live never come to that drives that yearning, but whatever the case may be, it's been a very rewarding experience getting to know these bands beyond the record format (although I doubt how much of the live experience you take away from lossy files, but it will do for now). Somehow I envy all those who live in cities like NYC and Montreal, who probably don't give a shit if The Hold Steady or Belle & Sebastian is in their town.

Well, there's no reason for this spiel - just me burning off some hand and mind calories, especially after discovering today through The God Delusion that the bible is full of accounts of God-approved murder, misogyny, and general bad behavior. Somehow, these passages never showed up in the liturgy in my church. Disappointing to say the least.

Hey bro. Thanks a lot for live set. Don't forget to take sites like The God Delusion with a grain of salt.

Thank you for this live set! But tell us... Why should we use sendspace with a blocked maximum download rate of 50KB/s if we can download it directly from KNK at >200KB/s?

Because you'll save my bandwidth, Mr./Ms. Till. And you can download the entire set as one file. Because it's the free world and there's choice. Because I can. Just because.

And Oh Jad, I do take the God Delusion with a grain of salt. But it's hard to do the same with fact - and the biblical story of murder and misogyny is fact.

Pierre,
Thanks for the live set! And funny you mention TGD, b/c I'm in the middle of it right now. Hate to be nitpicky but not everything in the Bible is fact.
