My #1 Album of 2007

While I accept it's too early to call, I have chosen my #1 album of the year. Or maybe I am just bowled over by Nina Nastasia & Jim White's super fantastique collaboration, You Follow Me. Now I have always been a big fan of Nina's, but this is some seriously focused set of songs they've put together here. Over the course of some really excellent drumming, Nina sings about all kinds of confused & confusing love scenarios. To her perfect voice, Jim provides an epileptic drum sequence that would have made a perfect album, all by its quivering, thumping self. Classic in my view, classic.

The Day I Would Bury You

And some old Nina stuff from the 4th June 2002 Peel Session.

Beautiful Day
Albert's Song
Every Time
Untitled

Buy You Follow Me. It's the album of the year.

Please help me!!! My hard drive crashed and I lost all the fantastic Nina Nastasia Peel Sessions you posted a year ago or so. Any chance of posting those back???

Oh and yes, the new Nastasia/White album is amazing. Definate runner for album of the year.
