Still About Hosting Problems, Night Time Radio

Regulars here may have noticed that I am having a series of unfortunate events re: file hosting. Truth is Ezarchive might have sucked, but there's really no low cost alternative out there. Now that they've gone to shit, replacing them for less than 40 bucks a year has proved almost impossible. KNK might have to close shop, soon.

Here's a music site you should visit at least once everyday: Musicovery. Fantastic idea done well.

I am hosting a Night Time No Talk New Music Radio tonight. Streaming continuously till the break of dawn. Only 10 listeners welcome at any time. Featuring everything from MC Lars to new Elf Power to The Suffrajets. Click here to listen.

Night Capper

5 songs, to speed the night along...

Not About Love (Jon Brion Version) Fiona Apple
I Never Talk To Strangers Tom Waits
Wai Bonnie "Prince" Billy
1913 Massacre Bob Dylan
Meet You On The Other Side Cuff The Duke

I should mention that this post is hosted on the infamous Ezarchive (still giving them a chance!). Tracks are downloable mp3s, and you can play each track via flash by clicking on individual links. When you click on a link, you'll see the track's cover art (where available). Move your mouse over the cover art to display the play/pause etc. controls.

Tom Waits: How Legends Become Legendary

With the release of the three-disc mega-fantastique Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards, Mr. Tom Waits has finally outdone himself. I have had this monumental release on repeat play for the past 24 hours, and this would probably be the case for the next couple of days. What makes this disc set more remarkable is that it is largely made up of outtakes and oddities, testimony to the incredible range of this great musician. The highlight: Disc 2 - Bawlers, where Waits' balladry is on full display. Now I can lay my Early Years Vol. 2 disc to rest. Amen.

Buy Orphans...

Note: Still having my file hosting issues...haven't really found one fit for blogging purposes. The limited bandwidth is an issue, and I don't want to pay for a service that Ezarchives me after a while. Frustrating to say the least...
